As past curator of exhibitions and communications at the ECFTA, Micaela Campbell was co-creative director of the inaugural Black Sheep Festival in 2018. She holds a BFA and MA from the University of Victoria and a PhD Candidate in Indonesian History, University of Washington. She is an avid collector of vintage textiles from Southeast Asia.
With a background in Craft & Design from Sheridan and Niagara College, the Banff Centre for the Arts and Harbourfront Centre Craft Studios, Bear Epp has worked in the creative industry for over three decades as an artist and creative director. Through her work with Black Sheep and as founder of Common Craft Studio in Elora, she is dedicated to the pursuit of connecting community through creative exchange.
Carly Jenkins is a freelance graphic designer and former Elorian now living in Norway. Her signature branding can be seen all over Elora and her modern designs are found on anything from beer cans in Ontario to billboards in Ohio. With a post-graduate diploma in Design from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design – Black Sheep is a project that brings a lot of joy to this textile and weaving obsessed designer. Jacquelyn van Kampen is a fashion designer whose one-of-a-kind pieces are tailored and upcycled from carefully considered vintage and secondhand attire. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design from Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands and a Diploma in Pattern Development and Garment Construction for Fashion Design from LaSalle College in Toronto.
